About the Role
We are a pioneer and a leading manufacturer of premium smart electric vehicles. We are currently seeking 2-3 Junior Project Engineers for a programme.
Inside our organisation, the Project Engineer is an adaptive and professional engineer who helps lead complex engineering projects from concept to completion. This role will be client and business-facing, serving as a key individual delivering strategic partnership schemes of work for a high-profile client.
Key Responsibilities
- Support engineering projects from the initial concept to final delivery, ensuring they meet deadlines, budget, and quality requirements.
- Support various parts of the Client project while acting as a technical liaison between departments and external suppliers.
- Communicate with internal teams, senior management, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and manage expectations.
- Actively manage programmes rather than simply tracking deliverables for gateways.
- Apply creative and innovative engineering skills to devise solutions for unique design and project challenges.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- 2 to 3 years of experience in a relevant engineering or project management role, though we will also consider a strong graduate willing to be trained.
- A strong Project Management (PM) background is essential.
- A degree in a relevant engineering discipline is typically required, or relevant industry experience.
- A strong background in multi-disciplinary engineering and a willingness to deep dive into new areas and learn.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with various stakeholders, from engineers to senior management and customers.
Travel Requirements
- Must have the ability to drive and reliably commute to Bicester for internal operations.
- Must be able to face off with the customer, requiring regular travel to and from Woking
- General ability to travel within the UK as required by the programme.
