Harness is an AI-powered Software Delivery Platform company. In this Staff Implementation Engineer role, you will partner with enterprise customers across EMEA to architect, design, and implement DevSecOps, FinOps, and CI/CD solutions using the Harness platform, working closely with customer technical, DevOps, SRE, and leadership teams.
What You’ll Do
- Engage directly with customer technical teams to assess existing processes, CI/CD pipelines, and governance models
- Architect and implement optimized Harness setups for integration, scale, and repeatability across AWS, GCP, and Azure environments
- Define current-state versus target-state architecture and develop phased onboarding and adoption roadmaps spanning CI/CD, IaC, security, and reliability
- Author and standardize design patterns, reusable pipeline templates, and integration blueprints to SCM, cloud, artifact registries, secret managers, and observability platforms
- Deliver hands‑on implementation across CI/CD, infrastructure‑as‑code, supply‑chain security, database DevOps, and site reliability engineering
- Partner with Customer Success and Sales teams to drive adoption, growth, and long‑term customer satisfaction
What You Need
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering‑related field
- 8+ years of experience in consulting roles, software delivery, DevSecOps, or Platform Engineering
- Strong hands‑on experience in at least 3 of the following areas: CI/CD and pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, CircleCI, Argo CD, Tekton), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, AWS CloudFormation, Azure ARM/Bicep, Ansible), Policy‑as‑Code and governance (OPA/Rego, HashiCorp Sentinel, Kyverno), SSO and identity management (Okta, Azure AD, Keycloak, LDAP), or container and Kubernetes orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, EKS, AKS, GKE)
- Proven ability to lead migrations from incumbent tooling to modern delivery platforms including continuous integration and infrastructure‑as‑code management
- Deep understanding of DevSecOps, cloud‑native CI/CD, and Kubernetes across major cloud providers
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to both technical engineers and C‑level executives
- Experience with Linux, Bash, Python or Go scripting
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or equivalent, and Well‑Architected reviews for AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with internal developer portals and platform engineering tools such as Backstage, Cortex, or Roadie
- Knowledge of database DevOps tools including Liquibase, Flyway, Bytebase, or Atlas
- Experience with observability and monitoring platforms such as Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, New Relic, or Splunk
- Willingness to travel up to 25% throughout the calendar year
