Our customers have complex and sensitive data and information requirements requiring a mission partner who quickly understands the context, delivering and sustaining a portfolio of challenging technology projects at scale and pace, supporting them through an ambitious digital transformation programme.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on maintenance to ensure critical systems remain operational
  • Monitor systems to ensure maximum availability
  • Support the wider development team in working through critical issues and remediating them
  • Identify technical risks/opportunities and proactively develop plans to mitigate and realise them
  • Maintain accurate documentation including a record of issues and faults along with solutions
  • Implement DevOps and/or SRE best practices as required on relevant systems

We Are Looking For

  • Hands-on experience of supporting and debugging complex live operational systems including monitoring of logs through tools such as Splunk / ELK stack
  • Ability to pro-actively manage own tasking and react to higher priority tasks
  • Experience of Linux server administration
  • Experience in technologies such as Apache NiFi, MinIO/AWS S3
  • Experience managing and patching Java and Python applications
  • Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker / Podman and deployment technologies such as Kubernetes / OpenShift

Role clearance type: You must currently hold the highest level of UK Government clearance
