For the purposes of this job description this fellowship is intended to allow an experienced neurophysiology trainee to obtain experience, both academically and clinically, in intra‑operative monitoring (IOM). This post will provide experience sufficient to allow a successful fellow to offer himself/herself for appointment to a consultant position. To achieve this the trainee will be given experience in the following broad areas.
The postholder will work closely with the lead Consultant for intra‑operative monitoring service, working closely with the lead to ensure there is a high quality IOM service provided to the neurosurgery team at King’s College Hospital.
The post holder will support the delivery of a high‑quality intraoperative monitoring (IOM) service within Neurosurgery at King’s College Hospital. This includes providing real‑time neurophysiological monitoring during complex neurosurgical procedures to minimise neurological risk, supporting theatre activity, and contributing to safe and effective patient care across adult and paediatric services.
