About Procurement
Our Global Procurement function has a staff of 130 based across the UK, India, Continental Europe, and Asia Pacific; managing $800m of spend in 26 countries. The Global Sourcing team partners with business functions, acting as trusted advisors to support them in delivering against their strategic targets while creating P&L‑impacting savings and managing supply chain risk.
About Your Role
The Sourcing Manager – Generalist will span the People & HR Services Sourcing team, owning sub‑categories within Legal and HR. Working across Category Management, SRM, Legal, Risk and business teams, the role will be responsible for autonomously leading projects end‑to‑end. Categories covered will include Legal, Professional Services, Training & Development and Payroll.
Responsibilities
- Developing close working relationships with Category Managers, understanding their strategies, and proactively working in partnership to deliver on them.
- Forging strong business relationships with key stakeholders, being a trusted partner in supporting their needs and influencing decision making.
- Leading Procurement best practices for projects end‑to‑end, including RFx and commercial and contract negotiations.
- Proactively championing the firm’s approach to Third Party Risk Management and ESG, ensuring it is factored into all we do.
- Maintaining awareness of leverage opportunities with other Fidelity Procurement teams globally.
- Proactively managing new suppliers, services, and service extensions in conjunction with business sponsors and other stakeholders to maximise the benefits sought, e.g. financial, operational, risk mitigation etc.
- Maintaining awareness of industry developments and best practices. Keeping abreast of potential new supply arrangements, latest products/services from a procurement perspective to prompt and promote innovation in Fidelity.
- Ensuring accurate and up‑to‑date contracts and supplier records are maintained, and commercially sensitive information is managed in line with Fidelity’s information security standards.
Qualifications
- Broad Procurement experience across a range of categories, with deeper Legal and/or HR Procurement experience advantageous.
- Strong team‑working skills and the ability to operate across teams, cultural and organisational boundaries.
- Experience leading concurrent procurement initiatives, contract negotiations, and the management of supply relationships across a range of procurement categories in a global services organisation.
- Achieving results through working with senior business managers and procurement specialists embedded in regional business functions around the globe.
- Experience of resolving disputes and an understanding of commercial contract law concepts.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workload with a strong attention to detail and stakeholder management.
