Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Fire & Security Service/Fault Engineer to join a growing team delivering high‑quality service and maintenance solutions to a portfolio of commercial and high‑end residential clients.

The successful candidate will have proven experience working across a range of fire and security systems and be comfortable travelling throughout London and the South East. The role includes participation in a 1-in-4 out‑of‑hours call‑out rota, attracting an additional £250 per call‑out week on top of salary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain and fault‑find on fire and security systems.
  • Diagnose and rectify system faults efficiently and professionally.
  • Provide technical support to customers and internal office staff.
  • Deliver out‑of‑hours technical support and site attendance when on call.
  • Assist with the training and development of colleagues where required.
  • Identify and report non‑conformance issues relating to installed systems.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service.
  • Demonstrate strong commercial awareness and professionalism at all times.
  • Undertake any additional duties within the scope of the role as required.

Systems Experience Required

  • Intruder Alarms – Texecom, Honeywell, Scantronic, Menvier
  • CCTV – Avigilon, Dahua, IDIS
  • Access Control – Gallagher, Paxton, TDSI, WIN‑PAK
  • Video Entry – BPT XIP, Urmet, Paxton Net2 Entry
  • Fire Alarms – Advanced, C‑Tec, Kentec, Gent, Morley

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within the fire and security industry.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • ECS Card.
  • Ability to pass full security screening and DBS checks.
  • Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Good understanding of IP networking and system integration, including:
    • VLAN configuration
    • Active Directory
    • Network‑based security systems

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience working within high‑end residential or premium commercial environments.
  • Strong customer‑facing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
