Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Fire & Security Service/Fault Engineer to join a growing team delivering high‑quality service and maintenance solutions to a portfolio of commercial and high‑end residential clients.
The successful candidate will have proven experience working across a range of fire and security systems and be comfortable travelling throughout London and the South East. The role includes participation in a 1-in-4 out‑of‑hours call‑out rota, attracting an additional £250 per call‑out week on top of salary.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and fault‑find on fire and security systems.
- Diagnose and rectify system faults efficiently and professionally.
- Provide technical support to customers and internal office staff.
- Deliver out‑of‑hours technical support and site attendance when on call.
- Assist with the training and development of colleagues where required.
- Identify and report non‑conformance issues relating to installed systems.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service.
- Demonstrate strong commercial awareness and professionalism at all times.
- Undertake any additional duties within the scope of the role as required.
Systems Experience Required
- Intruder Alarms – Texecom, Honeywell, Scantronic, Menvier
- CCTV – Avigilon, Dahua, IDIS
- Access Control – Gallagher, Paxton, TDSI, WIN‑PAK
- Video Entry – BPT XIP, Urmet, Paxton Net2 Entry
- Fire Alarms – Advanced, C‑Tec, Kentec, Gent, Morley
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within the fire and security industry.
- Full UK driving licence.
- ECS Card.
- Ability to pass full security screening and DBS checks.
- Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills.
- Good understanding of IP networking and system integration, including:
- VLAN configuration
- Active Directory
- Network‑based security systems
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience working within high‑end residential or premium commercial environments.
- Strong customer‑facing and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
