Care Assistant

To provide high-quality, person centred care and support to residents, promoting their dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing while ensuring a safe, caring and homely environment

Key responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, person-centred care in accordance with each residents individual care plan
• Assist residents with personal care, including, washing and dressing, continence care, oral hygiene
• Support residents with mobility, transfers, repositioning and the safe use of manual handling equipment

Essential

• Caring, compassionate and respectful attitude
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently
• Reliable, flexible and committed to delivering excellent care

Desirable

• Previous experience working in care home or healthcare settings
• Experience supporting older adults or individuals living with mental health conditions
