Role Purpose

You will be the allocated Social Worker responsible for completing assessments for children in need, including those who require protection, are looked after, are subject to public care proceedings, and, where directed by the Court, those involved in private law proceedings. You will oversee the assessment, planning, monitoring, and review functions for all allocated children and families, ensuring each child receives the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake comprehensive assessments of children in need and their families.
  • Develop tailored plans to meet the individual needs of each child.
  • Monitor and review cases regularly to ensure continued progress towards goals.
  • Engage with children and families to build trust and effective working relationships.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to deliver coordinated care and support.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions.
  • Prepare reports and make recommendations for court proceedings, where applicable.
