The Opportunity

In this role you will work on projects that identify the drivers of value in a business and develop strategies to turn it around or restructure it. You may prepare financial forecasts, analyse scenarios, interview client teams, and execute restructuring procedures. Depending on the project size you may lead a small team or be part of a larger team with full support from senior members.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse financial forecasts and prepare reports on findings.
  • Interview client teams and execute restructuring procedures.
  • Establish and nurture relationships inside EY and with external stakeholders such as client staff or junior lawyers.
  • Coach and counsel junior team members and contribute to learning and development activities.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Experience in a recognised restructuring team and a recognised professional accountancy qualification for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Experience in independent business reviews and formal corporate insolvencies.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast‑paced environment.
  • Understanding of the sensitivity and risk of distressed situations.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Network building and professional client interaction skills.
  • Management experience, including feedback and performance reviews of junior staff.
  • Strong internal relationships within FR and across other services and participation in business development.
