The Role

Youll be involved in:

  • Electrical fault-finding and maintenance
  • Planned preventative maintenance
  • Reactive breakdown support
  • Improving plant reliability and reducing downtime
  • Supporting maintenance planning across site
  • Working safely within permit to work systems
  • Maintaining pressure systems in line with requirements
  • Supporting maintenance stores, parts and stock control
  • Working closely with engineering and operations teams
  • Making sure work is completed safely and to a high standard

What Theyre Looking For

This role is for an engineer who is electrically biased first, but happy working in a multi-skilled maintenance environment.

Essential:

  • Strong electrical bias
  • 17th or 18th Edition
  • Experience in maintenance within manufacturing, production, FMCG or industrial environments
  • Good electrical fault-finding skills
  • Experience with PPMs and breakdown maintenance
  • A practical, proactive approach
  • Able to work well as part of a team

Desirable:

  • BTEC Level 4 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
  • Experience in FMCG, feed mill or similar production environments
  • Boiler experience
  • IOSH
  • Good Microsoft skills
  • Mechanical understanding in a maintenance setting
