Lead Azure Cloud Platform Engineer – Financial Services
Financial Service client is looking for a stand alone lead Azure Cloud Platform Engineer with excellent knowledge of Terraform and a previous background in Infrastructure. This fully home based role is available for candidates across the UK.
The role combines practical Azure engineering delivery with technical leadership, architectural design input, engineering mentoring and platform enablement. Your responsibilities will include designing, building, automating and continuously improving Azure cloud platform services in a regulated FSA environment. You will lead by example, working directly on Azure platform services, Terraform modules, CI/CD pipelines, cloud networking, security controls, monitoring, resilience and operational supportability.

- Mentoring, Standards and Engineering Culture.
Key Skills Required
- Must have worked at a Lead level.
- Expert level hands‑on and architectural Azure Cloud skills in a large regulated environment.
- Expert level skills in Terraform.
- Expert level knowledge of DevOps (building and maintaining pipelines).
- Expert level knowledge of IaC and platform automation.
- Experience working at a senior level with multiple stakeholders.
- Proven experience leading cloud (Azure) engineering delivery.
- Ability to mentor and coach when required.
- A career that started in Infrastructure before moving into Cloud and Azure.
Salary: up to £90,000 – 100,000 plus bonus and benefits. Work from home.
