DEPUTY HEAD GREENKEEPER
We have a vacancy for a Deputy Head Greenkeeper to join our excellent greenkeeping team at Ashburnham Golf Club. The successful candidate will play a key role in the day‑to‑day maintenance, presentation and agronomic management of our course, while supporting and developing a talented team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily preparation and presentation of the course to the highest standards
- Lead and motivate the greenkeeping team in the absence of the Head Greenkeeper
- Manage turf health including mowing programmes, irrigation, fertilising, and pest and disease control
- Maintain and operate course machinery safely and efficiently
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations and club policies
- Assist with planning and executing course improvement projects
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of working towards NVQ Level 3 in Sports Turf Management or equivalent
- PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
- PA2 spraying certificates
- Chainsaw licence
- Supervisory experience
- Irrigation system knowledge
- Mechanical knowledge
