Job Description:

We are looking for an individual to join our team as an Events & Programme Coordinator (1-Year Contract, Renewable).

In this role, you will support event management and course/learner administration for programmes organised by Singapore Academy of Law (SAL).

This is a contract position for an initial period of one year, with the possibility of renewal. The role is based onsite and reports to the Manager, Programming Ops & Events Management (POEM).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Event Management

  1. Coordinating event requirements (venue, catering, logistics), sourcing vendors, comparing quotations, facilitating approvals and payments.
  2. Uploading event details into the CRM system and coordinating publication of event information (programme, speaker profiles) on relevant platforms.
  3. Assisting with event registration enquiries via email or phone, and processing manual invoicing where required.
  4. Supporting the preparation and distribution of pre‑and post‑event communications (administrative instructions, feedback collection, dissemination of materials), including post‑event publicity such as drafting event blurbs and collating photos for LinkedIn or other outreach platforms.
  5. Assisting with venue setup for internal events (seating arrangements, signage) and liaising with external venues to ensure requirements are met.
  6. Supporting attendance tracking through system setup or manual processes.
  7. Providing on‑site support during events, including basic AV coordination, timekeeping, and liaison with vendors.

Programme / Learner Administration

  1. Assisting with preparation and uploading of course materials onto the eLearning platform, including basic testing of course flow and assessments.
  2. Coordinating the publication and removal of courses based on schedule.
  3. Supporting learner enrolment, including profile creation, course assignment, and generation of e‑certificates.
  4. Monitoring learner progress and supporting updates to course managers.
  5. Assisting with enquiries related to online learning.
  6. Maintaining records and databases for programmes and initiatives.
  7. Extracting reports (learner data, attendance, billing) for internal use and CRM updates.
  8. Monitoring system issues and flagging them to the platform provider where necessary.

KEY SPECIFICATIONS

  • A diploma, or background in event or project management is an advantage but not required.
  • Experience with learning management systems or event registration platforms is an advantage.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail; able to complete tasks accurately.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible and willing to support administrative and operational work, including occasional extended hours for events.
