About the role
As a Social Worker within the Corporate Parenting Service, you’ll build meaningful and lasting relationships with children and young people, supporting them through adolescence and preparing them for independence and adulthood. You’ll play a key role in helping young people feel heard, supported and empowered while ensuring plans are focused on stability, permanence and future aspirations.
Key responsibilities
- Completing comprehensive assessments
- Preparing Care Plans and Pathway Plans
- Undertaking statutory Children in Care visits and reviews
- Attending and contributing to multi‑agency meetings
- Supporting young people transitioning into independent living
- Managing adolescent and contextual safeguarding risks
- Occasional Court work linked to permanence planning

To be considered, you will need
- Social Work qualification and Social Work England registration
- Experience within Children’s Social Care
- Good knowledge of legislation relating to Children in Care and Care Experienced Young People
- Understanding of adolescent risk and contextual safeguarding
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multi‑agency environment
- Court experience desirable but not essential
