Band 2 Patient Transport Driver – Windsor Dialysis Unit
This is a full‑time post for 37.5 hours per week.
- The post is based at Windsor Dialysis, 1 Maidenhead Road, Old Ambulance Station, Windsor, SL4 5EY, and attracts a fringe payment of 5% (£1,346) of gross basic salary.

The position involves driving vehicles to transport the users of the Trust’s Haemodialysis Satellite Unit in Windsor safely to and from their place of residence, following pre‑determined schedules and organising routes as appropriate to ensure patient safety and efficiency.
The unit is open Monday to Saturday with no night duty. You will be expected to cover all three shifts, which run from 06.00 to 12.30 midnight.
Informal visits to the unit are highly recommended prior to shortlisting.
We are looking for a motivated and highly enthusiastic individual to become part of our team. You will be expected to transport patients to and from their homes or place of residence in a safe and professional manner.
Previous driving experience around the local area is essential. The successful candidate will undertake a programme of Trust induction as well as mandatory drivers’ related training.
Driving duties of all types of vehicles to the required standards, ensuring patient comfort at all times and in accordance with the Road Traffic Act and DVLA regulations, are essential. Training will be provided as required, and you must keep up to date with these regulations.
