Job Description
If you’re an HGV Driver looking for steady hours and a long-term opportunity in the waste and recycling industry, we’d love to hear from you.
We’re recruiting reliable and skilled HGV Drivers to operate refuse wagons, collecting residential and commercial waste and recycling across the local area.
You’ll work as part of a team alongside up to three loaders, helping to ensure collections are completed safely and efficiently.
While this is primarily a driving role, drivers are also expected to assist with loading when required, so a team-focused attitude and willingness to get involved are essential.
Duration: This is an ongoing opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Contract Type: Temporary
Hourly Rate: This role pays a starting wage of £16.62 per hour with 28 days of holiday pro rata.
Working Hours: Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 6:00am until approximately 2:00pm. This is a task-and-finish role, so once the day’s collections are complete, you can finish your shift.

Experience & Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you’ll need:
- A valid UK Class C (Category C) driving licence.
- A valid Digi Tacho Card.
- A valid CPC Card.
- Previous refuse driving experience is advantageous but not essential.
- No more than 3 penalty points on your driving license.
