Salary and Contract

Salary: £32,000.00 – £37,000.00 per year.

2‑year fixed‑term basis. Location: Dorset (Blandford/Hurn) or Hampshire (Basingstoke/Greenham) with flexibility to work from home. Occasional travel required, car essential.

Role Overview

You will support customers struggling financially, helping them reduce energy costs and consumption through grants, better deals, behaviour changes, and holistic financial guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate across Community Foundation and internal teams to deliver energy services that meet customer needs.
  • Shape and improve the Financial Inclusion strategy across SNG geography, focusing on innovation.
  • Support the Financial and Digital Inclusion manager to identify new delivery partners and expand the Energy offer.
  • Work with Communications to enable proactive, inclusive internal and external communications about the service.
  • Partner with Partnerships and Funding to secure external funding around Energy Inclusion priorities.
  • Build and maintain key relationships with local stakeholders as agreed with Financial and Digital Inclusion Manager.
  • Prepare and present written, financial and statistical reports as required.
  • Manage data related to Community Investment and fundraising per SNG’s data landscape.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Knowledge of financial inclusion and challenges faced by financially excluded individuals.
  • Knowledge and understanding of fuel poverty and fuel insecurity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfort with multiple computer systems.
  • Effective decision‑making and prioritisation skills for a busy workload.
  • Ability to connect positively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Desirable: contract management experience.
  • Desirable: ability to validate and impact assess, and to raise data issues as required.
  • Desirable: Level3 Energy Awareness qualification or equivalent, or willingness to obtain within the first few months.
