Floating Support Worker

Job Overview

Join Discovery as a Floating Support Worker, supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism across North Somerset. Every day is different—you’ll work in a range of homes and services, helping people live independently and confidently.

Responsibilities

• Support people with daily living, personal care, and community activities
• Build positive relationships and empower independence
• Work across different services depending on need
• Support individuals who may be non‑verbal or use wheelchairs (full training provided)

Requirements

• A driver with access to a car and business insurance
• Ability to travel within approximately an hour of home
• Flexibility with varied shift patterns (early, late, and occasional sleep‑ins)
• Ability to work alternate weekends
• Having a caring, adaptable, people-focused approach (no experience needed)
