Requirements
- We require SC Clearance or eligibility to achieve it; experience working with defence sector clients is ideal.
- We are looking for someone with a minimum 2.1 BSc in Computer Science or a similar technical discipline from a top-tier or Russell Group university, supported by strong A-level results.
- We want a strong technologist who enjoys collaboration and problem solving on complex, distributed systems.
- We need strong backend coding skills; experience with C#, Java, Python, TypeScript, or full-stack development is suitable.
- We expect experience with public cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- We value a solid understanding of modern software engineering best practices and the full software development lifecycle.
- We look for a thorough grasp of computer science fundamentals, including OOP, data structures, design patterns, and algorithms.
- We are seeking someone excited to join a start‑up environment where they can shape and influence the role.
Responsibilities
- We design solutions for defence sector projects across government and public sector clients.
- We build robust, data‑centric, high‑security software solutions.
- We work on backend development using a range of technologies.
- We collaborate closely with colleagues in our Newcastle office on a full‑time onsite basis.
- We contribute to complex, distributed systems and apply modern engineering best practices.
- We shape the role within a scaling technology consultancy as it expands into defence work.
