Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking an End User Technology Engineer to join the Enterprise End User Technology Team which supports over 5,000 end‑user devices across 150+ locations in the borough.
The role involves configuring, installing and supporting a wide range of end‑user hardware and software, troubleshooting issues, maintaining security standards such as PCI, PSN and HSCN, and working closely with third‑party suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Configure, develop and support desktop, mobile and audio‑visual technologies in a large enterprise environment.
- Install and maintain Windows OS, Intune, Entra, Office 365 and related Microsoft solutions.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems for users across multiple locations.
- Ensure compliance with security and audit requirements including PCI, PSN, and HSCN.
- Collaborate with a professional team to deliver timely solutions and maintain service levels.
- Act as a liaison with suppliers, vendors and internal stakeholders to manage issues and procure solutions.
- Work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a performance‑driven environment.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in Microsoft environments: Windows OS, Intune, Entra, Office 365.
- Working knowledge of audio‑visual technologies and solutions.
- Experience with mobile technologies including Android, MDM solutions and associated hardware.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Professional accreditation, ideally Microsoft certification or equivalent technical expertise.
Workplace attendance is onsite full time. This position is open to all qualified candidates and does not require sponsorship beyond entitlement to work in the UK.
