Reliability Maintenance Engineering Manager

We are looking for motivated, customer-focused individuals to lead our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team at an Amazon fulfillment site.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of technicians and direct reports, fostering a culture of safety and high equipment reliability.
• Own annual reporting for the team and manage performance to meet site and EU Engineering objectives.
• Ensure all statutory compliance and safety programs are implemented, recorded, and audited in partnership with the site Safety department and Site Leadership.
• Act as the site engineering lead, handling legal responsibilities and interdepartmental coordination.
• Work with the recruitment team to fill headcount and support apprentice and graduate programs.
• Implement and update standards created by the EU Engineering team, participating in network‑wide improvement initiatives.
• Drive preventative maintenance programs, maintaining equipment failure contingency plans and coordinating rehearsals with affected parties.
• Provide a rapid response to equipment failures or breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Maintain long‑term planning with Site Management, Finance, EU Engineering, and internal design teams for future growth, upgrades, or new equipment roll‑outs.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in employee and performance management.
• Experience in distribution or manufacturing, with equivalent mechanical or electrical field.
• Experience in facilities or corporate administrative services, or hospitality management.
• Flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Experience managing teams.
• Experience in strategic planning.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in design review processes, incorporating electrical, mechanical, automation controls solutions to drive equipment reliability and standards.
• Experience with automated conveyor systems, controls, electrical and electronic principles, blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
• Experience with CMMS programs, preventive maintenance procedures, industrial electrical, industrial controls, and industrial electronics.
