Job Description:

Grade C – £35,412 – £44,075 per annum.

Permanent. 36.5 hours per week. Consultation grade subject to formal evaluation under the Equal Pay Programme.

Position Summary

This position supports the Senior Building Manager to meet statutory building safety obligations while improving safety for residents, properties, compliance, and stock condition. The role ensures robust monitoring of the residential stock through site‑based inspections and checks, maintaining key building information for safety case support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide senior management with assurance that building, fire, and statutory compliance requirements within the residential stock are effectively managed.
  • Support the Building Safety Manager to ensure robust monitoring across residential stock through site‑based inspections and post‑work checks.
  • Maintain accurate stock data and key building information to inform safety case information for all parties.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure compliance and deliver a high‑quality asset management service.
  • Assist the Council in maintaining industry standards and fostering a culture of trust.

Key Requirements

  • Experience in building safety, fire safety, or related regulatory compliance.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct site inspections and produce detailed reports.
