Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and versatile Electro Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. This role covers a wide range of reactive and planned maintenance tasks across multiple client sites throughout the UK. The suitable candidate is required to have a good understanding and experience within the electrical industry. They will also be confident handling everything from general reactive repairs to PPM inspections. You’ll be working in a fast‑paced commercially biased environment where adaptability, safety, and professionalism are essential. The successful candidate must also be capable of supporting our out‑of‑hours call‑out rota (currently one week on call, four weeks off).

Overview

  • Installation of new circuits
  • Carry out safe isolation on single phase and three phase systems
  • Fault find on all power and lighting circuits safely and conclude findings
  • Report accurately and complete paperwork
  • Comfortable completing digital job sheets and reporting via Microsoft Forms or similar platforms
  • Door entry systems
  • Emergency call outs
  • Heating controls
  • Complete necessary installation certificates
  • This role will include Commercial, Industrial and Domestic works
  • Periodic inspection and testing

Required skills and qualifications

  • Level 3 NVQ City & Guilds or Equivalent
  • Experience fault finding and rectifying
  • Demonstrate safe working practices consistently
  • Ability to carry out regular maintenance works
  • Experience carrying out Emergency lighting tests complete with relevant paperwork.
  • Familiar and competent to carry out EICR’s and All forms of paper work involved (If suitable qualification is held)
  • Experience pricing and quoting works accurately
  • Full Clean UK driving licence
