Your Role and Responsibilities
- Client Engagement: Work with clients to understand their business needs and challenges and provide recommendations and solutions to improve their digital and technology capabilities.
- Solution Development: Develop and implement digital and technology solutions, including process improvements and technology implementations.
- Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret complex data to identify trends and insights that inform business decisions.
- Communication: Communicate complex ideas and recommendations to clients and stakeholders through effective written and verbal communication.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams, to deliver projects and meet client needs.
- Learning and Development: Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as digital transformation, cloud computing, AI and data analytics.
- Technology Skills: Develop skills in a range of technologies, including cloud platforms, data analytics tools, AI and agile work practices.
You will be working in the Consulting Public sector. We want to build your experience across the full variety of public sector accounts, including healthcare, defense, and local government. You will be following in the footsteps of apprentices who have progressed to more senior roles.
Apprenticeship Details
As a Digital and Technology Solutions Degree apprentice, you will develop a broad range of technical and business skills, including information systems, systems development, data, business organisations, project management and computer and network infrastructure. You will also take modules to develop your skills in a technical specialism.
There is an opportunity to experience university life and meet apprentices from other organisations during days at university and interactive learning sessions.
On an IBM Apprenticeship program, you will be working in an innovative, creative and exciting working environment. Our apprentices span across different business units and there are many opportunities for you to get involved both inside and outside of your role. We encourage all our early professionals to take the opportunity to participate in networking, mentoring, learning and give back. You will also have two managers: a task manager who works with you on your role and an early professional manager who helps you get the most out of your apprenticeship and provides support along the way.

Requirements
- All our apprenticeships are office based (if not on a client site) a minimum of 3 days a week, these are NOT remote roles. You need to live within commutable distance to one of our locations.
- Expected locations: London, Manchester and Hursley (Winchester)
- You will need to be mobile as all our apprenticeship roles will be client focused, and you may find yourself working at client sites or other IBM locations which could require extensive travel and staying away from home during the week.
- Valid and eligible residency status and the right to work in England.
- Roles require eligibility for Security Clearance.
- You must be authorized to work in the UK without sponsorship.
- Maths & English GCSE or equivalent (level 4 or above).
- You must have already achieved or be predicted a minimum of 120 UCAS points, equivalent to BBB at A level.
- If your grades are predicted, you will need to provide us with evidence of your grades on results day.
- You cannot have already started or completed an apprenticeship or university course in a similar subject.
- You must have already completed sixth‑form level education at school or college.
Start Date
We are looking for apprentices who will start on 7th September 2026, followed by an IBM and university induction – please note we cannot make any exceptions to this start date.
Final application date is 8th July at the latest; however, we may close before 8th July if we have a high volume of applications.
We are expecting to run a virtual exploration session on 23rd July for candidates who successfully complete screening.
