Transport Planner

Transport Planner – Cambridge

Salary: £35,000-£50,000 per annum. Position on a permanent basis.

We are a specialist transport planning consultancy looking for a Transport Planner to join our team. The role involves development planning projects across residential, commercial and mixed‑use schemes. You will support transport assessments, travel plans and junction capacity analyses for planning applications and collaborate with engineers, local authorities and private clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare transport assessments, transport statements and travel plans.
• Undertake junction capacity modelling and highway impact analysis.
• Produce technical reporting and input supporting planning applications.
• Liaise with clients, local authorities and multidisciplinary teams.
• Assist with site appraisals and feasibility studies.

Requirements

• Degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography or a related discipline.
• Experience in transport planning within a consultancy environment.
• Strong understanding of UK planning and highways guidance.
• Proficiency in industry software such as Junctions, LinSig or similar tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
