About the Role

Working with the relevant lead engineer, you will be responsible for the development of new and maintenance of existing mobile recycling machinery within defined timescales.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineered solutions for the development of new products and modifications to existing products.
• Follow Group standards in QFD, FMEA, design‑for‑manufacture, prototype development and field testing.
• Use Group engineering standards and IT systems to ensure effective global management of released engineering data.
• Ensure current and new products meet standards and performance levels for safety, function and reliability.
• Reduce manufacturing cost by improved design and consultation with production, purchasing and suppliers.
• Investigate and address customer complaints in a timely manner.
• Stay knowledgeable of machine component advancements and competitor design trends; apply latest technology where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent, ideally with design experience in mobile tracked equipment.
• Competent user of 3D Solid Modeling CAD, ideally Creo, and familiarity with PDM systems.
• Technical expertise in mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with mobile recycling machinery is advantageous.
• Good understanding of equipment applications and expected performance.
• Creativity and innovative thinking.
• Experience with Oracle TMS a plus.
• Good English communication skills, written and spoken; good presentation and interpersonal skills.
