Marine Maintenance & Project Lead – Grimsby
Full Time – £35,000 – £45,000 per year (DOE)
Intermarine has been designing, supplying and installing pontoon, marina and mooring solutions since 1992, serving the leisure and commercial sectors. We deliver standard and bespoke systems, inspection, maintenance and long-term asset management for clients including the Ministry of Defence and offshore energy sector. Work is based in the UK and international markets, primarily Europe.
The Role
This position combines technical delivery, project coordination and client interface. You will be the primary point of contact on site, supported remotely by the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver maintenance works on site
- Act as the primary point of contact for site activities and client coordination
- Organise and manage subcontractors, resources and site operations
- Prepare and review RAMS, ensuring safe and efficient delivery
- Monitor progress, track completion and manage reporting requirements
- Identify and resolve technical issues as they arise
- Prepare quotations, scopes of work and supporting documentation for additional works
- Work closely with the wider Intermarine team, maintaining regular communication and support
- Attend other sites (including Barrow) as required
Requirements
Essential
- 2–5+ years engineering or trade/construction experience
- Strong electrical, civil or mechanical background
- Experience planning and coordinating maintenance or project works
- Ability to work independently and manage own workload
- Confident communicator, able to liaise with clients and stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with RAMS, site safety processes and reporting
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel (including occasional travel to Barrow)
Desirable
- Experience working in marine, offshore or industrial environments
- Formal project coordination or management experience
- Relevant engineering qualification
- NEBOSH/IOSH or similar
