The below job description will outline this position of:Workshop Engineer.
Typically, this person will be involved in a range of activities surrounding the maintenance of engines and ancillary equipment. Such as engine servicing, repairs, ancillary repairs and more – a solid mechanical fitter, generator engineer, marine engineer, agricultural or HGV engineer will suit this position.
Duties and responsibilities of the Workshop Engineer
- Prepare and maintain enginesand associated equipment
- Ability to diagnosis faults on diesel engines and associated electrical systems
- Perform routine maintenance such as regular engine servicing as per manufacturers maintenance schedules
- Produce accurate reports ondispatched and returned equipment
- Carry out Pre-Delivery Tests & Inspections to the highest standard
- Identify and plan works in a methodical manner to meet equipment dispatch targets
- Ensure a pro-active health and safety culture is adhered toand maintained
Qualifications and requirements for the Workshop Engineer
- Ability to drive
- A relevant qualifications in the Mechanical or Electrical field or time served
