Band 8a Clinical Service Manager – Bristol

Job Overview: The role involves managing the delivery of Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) across Bristol within an integrated pathway model in partnership with Off The Record, ensuring seamless care across partners and meeting agreed objectives.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the management of delivery MHSTs across defined areas in Bristol.
• Manage and deliver MHSTs within an integrated pathway model, working closely with partner services.
• Monitor service performance through an integrated governance approach.
• Work in close collaboration with partner agencies, especially within the education system, to ensure seamless delivery of care.
• Take management and leadership responsibility for the operational delivery of services within the designated service area.
• Manage the capacity of the service using established tools and techniques, highlighting underlying issues to senior managers.
• Collaborate with acute care colleagues to improve patient flow and experience, addressing bottlenecks and finding solutions.
• Represent the Trust professionally and positively at all times, with staff, partners, service users and carers.
• Contribute to the Integrated Business Plan for the Area and Local Delivery Unit as part of the LDU delivery strategy.
• Deliver operational services in line with national, Trust, and LDU strategic objectives and policies.
• Liaise with service users, carers, staff and partners in both statutory and non‑statutory fields, ensuring shared understanding of service provision.
• Involve team managers in service area planning, delivery choice and governance, maintaining links with key groups and networks.
• Contribute towards the management of identified projects within the service area.
