Responsibilities
Lead development of medicines and pharmacy intelligence solutions, dashboards and reporting. Provide expert analysis, including forecasting, modelling and statistical techniques to support planning and performance. Ensure reporting is accurate, secure, robust and fit for purpose, with reliable data flows and strong information governance. Act as a trusted business partner to Pharmacy leadership, supporting medicines governance, assurance and value improvement. Communicate analytical concepts clearly and provide specialist advice to a wide range of stakeholders. Contribute to service improvement, benchmarking and external reporting/audit requirements. Represent the Digital Intelligence service at internal and external forums, supporting cross-system working.
- Line manage and develop staff, contributing to a high‑performing analytical function.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant subject, or degree with experience to Master’s level.
- Recognised project management qualification.
- Recognised programme management qualification.
- Further qualifications in Health Informatics.
- Demonstrable NHS experience as a senior information analyst.
- Experience managing pharmacy and medicines‑related data.
- Ability to develop and interpret predictive modelling.
- Ability to take ownership of problems and resolve them in complex, cross‑functional situations involving many stakeholders.
- Ability to anticipate, prioritise and coordinate work to deadlines in routine and pressured situations with competing timescales.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, professionals, senior managers and executives, both internally and externally to the Trust.
- Desirable: Experience in market analysis.
- Desirable: Knowledge of Data Protection legislation and patient confidentiality agenda.
- Desirable: Expert understanding of commissioning structures and requirements.
- Desirable: Understanding of other relevant Trust IT systems and external IT systems for information flows.
- Desirable: Excellence in the use of MS Windows and MS Office.
- Desirable: Excellence in SQL and data cubes.
- Desirable: Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to produce high‑level reporting.
- Desirable: Ability to achieve high standards of robust analytical output with exceptional attention to accuracy and detail.
