Technical Consultant – Halifax – Onsite – Up to £90,000 – Highest Security Clearance (or Eligble)
Great opportunity with a specialist technology consultancy that delivers complex software engineering, systems design and technical assurance services to Defence and National Security organisations across the UK.
Working on mission-critical programmes, you’ll join a highly skilled team responsible for designing, building and deploying secure software solutions that directly support national security objectives.
The Opportunity
As a Technical Consultant, you will be responsible for:
– Designing, developing and deploying software solutions for Defence and National Security customers.
– Working across the full software lifecycle, from requirements capture and solution design through to deployment and in-service support.
– Leading technical discussions, design reviews and stakeholder engagement activities.
– Producing technical documentation, presenting solutions and supporting verification and compliance activities.
Skills & Experience Required
– Strong software engineering experience with Java and exposure to Python and Bash.
– Experience developing applications across Linux environments, distributed systems and data processing platforms.
– Knowledge of secure system design, authentication technologies and information assurance principles.
– Ability to gather client requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
Requirements
- Due to the sensitive nature of the work, candidates must be eligible and willing to undergo the highest level of security clearance and must hold British nationality.
- 5 days a week onsite in Halifax ( 2 trips monthly across the country)
