Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant – Year 3/4 Support

The Role
Supporting Emotional Regulation & Academic Interventions. You will be a vital anchor for Year3/4 pupils who require extra guidance with social‑emotional mental health (SEMH), consistency, and academic progression. Your core responsibilities include:
- Utilise strong KS2 curriculum knowledge to lead booster sessions and academic interventions for Year3 and Year4 pupils requiring additional support.
- Provide high‑quality classroom support alongside the class teacher within a mixed Year3/4 environment on a full‑time basis.
- Act as a 1:1 “side‑by‑side” aid for pupils during periods of deregulation.
- Implement NurtureUK principles to understand behaviour as communication.
- Deliver literacy support within our ReadWriteInc. framework.

- Adaptability: able to shift fluidly from whole‑class support to intensive 1:1 intervention.
- Collaborative spirit: ready to work closely with nurture and pastoral leads.
