About our opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Regional Mechanical Fitter to join our team. As a core member of the maintenance function, you will carry out reactive, predictive, and planned maintenance across our sites. This is a mobile role covering locations within the South and South-West London area only, with a company van and tools provided. Working hours are Monday–Friday, with overtime available.

What you will be doing

  • Monitor, fault‑find, maintain, and repair a wide range of equipment including conveyors, crushers, screens, shredders and shears
  • Carry out proactive and reactive maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operational performance
  • Maintain, monitor, and document all service, maintenance, and CMMS records
  • Identify, investigate, and report machine faults and damages using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to eliminate recurring issues
  • Perform MIG, TIG, and other welding methods as required
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay compliant and aligned with industry standards

About you

  • Proven background maintaining and repairing heavy plant and mobile machinery in engineering environments
  • Able to work independently, managing your own time, workload, and site responsibilities effectively
  • Committed to high standards, attention to detail, and safe working practices
  • Full UK driving licence (company van and tools provided)
