Locum Consultant in the department of Neurophysiology
This is a 7.25 PA locum appointment for a Consultant Neurophysiologist to be based at the Neurophysiology unit (x31) at Leeds General Infirmary. The post will start from August 2026 and last for a period of six months.
Main duties of the role
- Deliver a variety of Neurophysiology sessions.
- Tailor activity to sub‑speciality interests where service need permits.
- Assist and at times lead clinical service provision, teaching, training, service development and audit.
Key responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality neurophysiology services throughout the department.
- Maintain up‑to‑date clinical knowledge and apply advanced neurophysiology techniques.
- Support undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervision of junior doctors and physiologists.
- Contribute to audit and research activities as required.
Qualifications
- Medical registration with a recognised specialist qualification (e.g., M/FRCP or equivalent).
- Admitted to the Specialist Register or within six months of CCT at the time of interview.
- Established skills in advanced clinical neurophysiology.
- Strong commitment to teaching and research is desirable.
