About the Role

I am a 26‑year‑old female who lives at home with my family. I was born with a chromosome disorder resulting in learning disabilities and epilepsy. I have a number of complex care needs and I am non‑verbal, which can make communication difficult. I am looking for an individual to join my team of personal assistants who has a caring, patient nature, who is willing to get to know me, understand my complex needs and ways of communicating, and respect my family home.

You will be supported to get to know my unique set of requirements, covering all aspects of personal and medical care including PEG feeding, respiratory needs, tracheostomy care, medication, epilepsy care, mobility and communication, as well as simply getting to know me at my own pace and supporting me to remain happy and safe.

You will be required to get to know my team through meetings, shadowing, and a bespoke training programme. You will receive all mandatory training and specialised training annually.

About You

  • Calm, friendly and fun, flexible and unphased by my health needs and situations.

  • Team player to support me with complex respiratory needs and remain alert to respond to my epilepsy seizures.

  • Experience or willingness to support individuals with learning disabilities, epilepsy, and complex medical care.

Benefits

  • 5.6 weeks holiday per year (pro‑rata for part‑time positions).

  • Company pension scheme after 3 months’ service, subject to the scheme rules.

  • Opportunity to join our Cash Back Health Plan after successful completion of the probation period.

  • Free training and development for all roles.

  • Access to wellbeing and support tools.
