Endoscopy Support Worker

We are currently recruiting Band 3 Clinical Support Workers who are committed to delivering high quality patient care to join our team.
While experience is desirable, it is not essential. Full training will be provided, along with opportunities to develop your skills.

Main duties of the job
To work within the Endoscopy Day Case Unit in Gastroenterology, providing high-quality, patient‑centred care. This role involves supporting patients while considering their social, psychological, and physical needs within a framework of best clinical practice.
Undertake Endoscopy training requirements, including assisting with endoscopic and clinical procedures, as well as the decontamination and reprocessing of equipment in accordance with British Society of Gastroenterology guidelines.
Work collaboratively and effectively with the multidisciplinary team to meet the needs of patients and their families.
Maintain strict infection prevention and control standards at all times.

Qualifications
- NVQ3/equivalent
Experience
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting
Knowledge
- Awareness of Health and Safety and Security procedures and policies
