Property Surveyor

Location: Remote working (Covering sites in Hampshire)

Contract: 37.5 hours per week | Permanent

Role Overview

You’ll ensure our homes are safe, compliant and well‑maintained. As a Property/Building Surveyor in housing, you’ll manage a regional portfolio, leading inspections, repairs delivery and contractor performance to support residents to live independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver responsive repairs and minor works safely, on time and within budget
• Carry out site visits, pre‑ and post‑inspections, and quality checks to ensure compliance
• Manage contractors, variations and complex repairs across multiple locations
• Monitor and control WIP, SLAs and KPIs to improve performance and reduce backlog
• Diagnose defects and deliver practical, cost‑effective repair solutions
• Ensure compliance with Building Safety Regulations, fire safety and HHSRS
• Resolve damp, mould and condensation (DMC) issues in line with best practice
• Manage complaints effectively, using insight to improve services
• Provide technical support for incidents including fires and SUIs
• Work with residents and teams to maintain safe, high‑quality homes

Requirements

• Experience in social housing, repairs, voids and contractor management
• Strong knowledge of building pathology and health and safety legislation
• Ability to manage WIP, data and multiple sites effectively
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
• Relevant degree or working towards MRICS or MCIOB (desirable).
• HNC/HND or equivalent experience in building/construction (essential).
