Trade Compliance Officer n North London n Hybrid n nComfortable navigating Export Licensing, Customs and International Trade Compliance?nIf so, this could be worth a look. n nWe’re partnering with a leading defence technology business to recruit a Trade Compliance Officer to join their UK Legal & Compliance team. n nThis is a genuinely varied role where you’ll work across Engineering, Projects, Operations and Legal, ensuring complex defence products and technology remain compliant throughout their lifecycle. n nThis is a standalone role, you’ll become the go-to person for trade compliance across the business, supporting major programmes while helping shape internal processes and compliance standards. n nThe Role?

- Managing UK Export Licensing (SIELs, OIELs & OGELs)
- Advising on UK Export Control Regulations, Customs and International Trade Compliance
- Supporting compliance with UK, EU and US regulations including ITAR and EAR
- Preparing export licence applications and maintaining licence compliance
- Conducting internal audits and compliance reviews
- Delivering Export Control and Trade Compliance training
- Managing sanctions screening, denied party screening and end-user due diligence
- Working alongside Engineering and Project teams to classify products and technology correctly

nAbout you?n Circa 5 years’ experience within Trade Compliance or Export Control n Strong knowledge of UK Export Licensing and Customs Regulations n Experience working with ITAR, EAR and international trade regulations n Previous experience within Defence, Aerospace, Engineering or another highly regulated environment n Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills n nWhats in it for you?nYou’ll be embedded within the business, influencing projects from day one, working alongside technical teams and helping ensure innovative defence technology reaches customers compliantly. n nIt’s a role with genuine ownership, plenty of variety and the opportunity to continue developing your expertise within a highly respected international business.
