Cover Supervisor
Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire. Salary: £22,710 – £24,598 per annum. Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (37 hours per week, Term Time Only). Start Date: September 2026.
We are currently recruiting for a dynamic and flexible Cover Supervisor to join a thriving secondary school in Bradford.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable classroom experience, particularly those considering a future career in teaching. The successful candidate will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged with their learning and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-planned lessons and learning activities across a range of subjects.
- Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a focused learning environment.
- Support students in completing work set by teaching staff.
- Record attendance and provide feedback on student progress and behaviour.
- Assist with examinations, educational visits and wider school activities where required.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent.
- Experience working with young people in an educational, care, pastoral or customer-facing environment.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to adapt to different classroom settings.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people and their educational development.
