Senior Test Automation Engineer / SDET – London

Contract opportunity at Resillion, working on Asset and Fund Management on the Aladdin platform. The role involves building and maintaining advanced test automation frameworks, leading quality initiatives, and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain advanced test automation frameworks using Playwright, SpecFlow, and custom tools in C#, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Drive end‑to‑end test coverage across UI, API, and data layers – functional, performance, and non‑functional testing.
• Act as the technical leader, liaising between automation architects, engineering teams, and project stakeholders.
• Champion quality engineering practices and help build a best‑in‑class QA culture.
• Lead code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and implement strategic improvements in tooling and processes.
• Provide technical demos and knowledge sharing across teams.

What You Bring

• Recent, hands‑on experience in Asset / Fund / Investment Management (minimum 5 years UK address history required).
• Proficiency in C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and SQL.
• Experience with Playwright, SpecFlow, Azure Service Bus, Charles River, SAP, and Aladdin.
• Strong data testing skills (SQL, Snowflake, Databricks), performance/load testing, API and UI testing.
• Deep understanding of Agile, TDD, and quality engineering.
• Leadership experience mentoring and improving quality processes.
• Comfortable using Azure DevOps, Git, Jira, Confluence, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Bonus

• Experience with Charles River or Aladdin platforms.
• Exposure to large‑scale transformation programmes.
• Cloud testing in Azure environments.
