Head of Engineering – September Start

A high-performing and forward-thinking secondary school is seeking an ambitious Head of Engineering to lead and develop their growing department from September.

Working on behalf of the school as a specialist education consultant, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Engineering or Design & Technology teacher ready to step into leadership, or an established Head of Department looking for a new challenge in a supportive and well-resourced environment.

The role:

• Lead and manage the Engineering/DT department across KS3-KS5
• Drive curriculum development with a focus on practical, industry-relevant skills
• Monitor teaching and learning to ensure high standards and strong outcomes
• Support and develop staff within the department
• Contribute to whole-school improvement and strategy

The ideal candidate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Proven experience teaching Engineering or DT
• Strong leadership or middle leadership experience
• Passion for innovation, practical learning, and student achievement
• Must live in the North Oxfordshire district
