The Role
You’ll lead a talented Real-Time Actuation Software Group responsible for developing software used across major missile programmes. You’ll work closely with Systems, Electronics, Algorithms and Verification teams – driving quality, structure and delivery across the full lifecycle.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and developing a team of 5-10 embedded software engineers
- Owning software delivery, budgets and planning
- Ensuring process adherence for safety-critical development (DO178C or similar)
- Driving continuous improvement in tools, methods and efficiency
- Working hands-on with requirements, design, verification and embedded C development oversight
What We’re Looking For
- Strong software leadership / project leadership experience
- Background in embedded software (C) within real-time or safety-critical environments
- Experience managing budgets, schedules and change
- Solid understanding of software lifecycle and configuration management
- Someone who can inspire teams, collaborate across engineering, and keep delivery on track
