Role Summary
Opportunities have arisen within South Western Ambulance Service in the Clinical Hubs for Dispatchers. The successful candidates will be integral members of the 999 control room team with responsibility for the effective deployment and management of Trust vehicles to emergency and non-emergency calls across the Trust area. Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and manage Trust vehicles for emergency and non-emergency calls.
- Operate within a 24/7 roster providing cover on weekends, nights and bank holidays.
- Maintain calm, confident, and diplomatic communication with callers and colleagues.
- Collaborate with the 999 control room team to ensure timely response to incidents.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade C or above, including English or equivalent.
- Good keyboard typing skills.
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and be tactful when necessary.
Shift & Working Hours
The role is 24/7, 365 days a year. Part‑time hours may be considered through a flexible working application. Shift patterns are varied; details are available upon request.
