We are looking for a reliable and practical Maintenance Assistant to join our team at one of Darwin Escapes’ beautiful holiday destinations.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a hands‑on approach who takes pride in maintaining high standards and enjoys problem‑solving. In this role, you will support the day‑to‑day maintenance and repair of park facilities, accommodation, and equipment, helping to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for our guests.
This is a varied and active role, suited to someone who is proactive, adaptable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
This is a fixed‑term, full‑time position working variable days, including weekends and bank holidays.

About The Role
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general maintenance and repair work across the park, including lodges and facilities
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner
- Conduct routine checks and inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and decorating tasks where required
- Ensure all facilities are safe, functional, and well‑presented at all times
- Support planned and preventative maintenance programmes
- Assist with setting up and maintaining guest facilities and amenities
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety procedures
- Work collaboratively with other departments to support the overall guest experience
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a maintenance or similar role is desirable
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, or general building maintenance
- Practical, hands‑on skills with the ability to solve problems efficiently
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- A flexible and proactive approach to work
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Commitment to maintaining high standards
Additional Information
This is a fixed‑term role requiring flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays in line with business needs.
