Hygiene Operative – Permanent Night Shift
Location: Bridlington, East Yorkshire (YO15)
Industry: Food Production (Non‑Meat, Non‑Fish Environment)
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent / Long‑Term Opportunities
We are recruiting reliable and hardworking Hygiene Operatives to join a well‑established food production facility in Bridlington. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long‑term employment with consistent hours, weekly pay, full training, and the opportunity to gain a permanent contract with a successful and growing business.
Shift Pattern
- Monday to Friday
- 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- 36.25 paid hours per week
- Two breaks totalling 45 minutes
Pay Rates
- £12.77 per hour basic rate
- £12.00 per shift night allowance when the full shift is completed
- Equivalent to £14.69 per hour
The Role
As a Hygiene Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the production facility.
- Deep cleaning production machinery and equipment
- Cleaning floors, walls, and production areas
- Safely using industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Following food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures
- Completing hygiene records and cleaning documentation accurately
- Reporting faults, hazards, or maintenance concerns
- Supporting the team to maintain audit‑ready standards
Requirements
- Previous hygiene, cleaning, or factory experience is beneficial but not essential
- Good understanding of hygiene and health & safety practices
- Physically fit, as the role involves manual handling and prolonged periods of standing
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards
- Willingness to learn and undertake training
- Knowledge of food manufacturing environments would be advantageous
