Job DescriptionRegistered Children’s Home Manager (Level 5 Qualified)Location: Ipswich, SuffolkSalary: £45,000- £55,000 (dependent on experience) + Bonus SchemeContract: Full Time | PermanentEleven Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Registered Children’s Home ManagerEleven Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and motivated Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead a residential children’s service in Ipswich.This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and resilient leader to oversee a therapeutic children’s home supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), trauma-related presentations and complex behaviours. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of care, supporting staff development and ensuring positive outcomes for children and young people.The RoleAs Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the operational leadership and management of the children’s home, ensuring the service delivers safe, nurturing and high-quality care while maintaining full regulatory compliance.Key responsibilities include: Providing effective leadership and direction to the residential care team Creating a positive, child-centred culture focused on achieving meaningful outcomes Ensuring compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and safeguarding procedures Supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes in education, wellbeing, independence and personal development Managing staffing structures, rotas, supervision and performance management processes Overseeing budgets and ensuring effective operational management Developing positive relationships with local authorities, families and multidisciplinary professionals Leading quality assurance initiatives and continuous service improvement Managing and preparing for Ofsted inspectionsCandidate RequirementsEssential: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent recognised qualification) Previous experience within residential children’s services at management or senior level Strong understanding of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards Experience leading and developing teams within residential settings Excellent safeguarding knowledge and practice Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills Full UK driving licenceDesirable: Previous experience as an Ofsted Registered Manager Experience supporting children with ASC, SEMH needs, trauma or complex behavioural presentations Understanding of therapeutic and relationship-based care models Experience working within specialist or therapeutic residential environmentsWhat’s on Offer Competitive salary package Ongoing training and professional development opportunities Career progression within a growing organisation Supportive senior leadership structure Pension and additional employee benefitsSafeguarding StatementEleven Recruitment and our client are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
