Criminal Justice Support Worker – Turn Around Project
- Hours: 37 per week (Full-time, Permanent)
- Salary: £26,936–£29,033 per annum (dependent on experience)
Role Description
The Turn Around Project aims to reduce re-offending among women residing in Derby City and Derbyshire (currently Chesterfield, Swadlincote and Buxton but subject to change). You will provide tailored support both through one-to-one casework and group interventions, depending on individual needs, to support the development, delivery and administration of the Project.
Working with our partners in HMPPS, you will provide integrated packages of support that meet the needs of women involved in the Criminal Justice System, both in the community and in custody. You will deliver & facilitate interventions specifically in relation to accommodation, mental health, education, training & employment, drug & alcohol abuse, finance, benefits & debt and around relationships, which may contribute to the women’s social exclusion and/or offending behaviour.
Person Specification
- Ability to manage your own caseload and work on your own initiative
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and written skills
- Strong organisational and IT skills
- Ability to perform under pressure
- Hold a clean driving licence and have access to a reliable vehicle for work
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous
- An Enhanced DBS and Vetting check will be required.
