About the Service
Our specialist Supported Living and Outreach service in Weymouth provides support for people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and acquired brain injuries. We work in partnership with local health professionals such as social workers, community nurses, and specialists including speech and language therapists, physiotherapists and occupational therapists. Our team supports each person to create a person‑centred plan and ensures they are closely involved in the development of their own plan.
Job Role and Details
Bank Support Worker
Location: Weymouth, Dorset DT4
Salary: £13.45 – £14.05 per hour
Responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day support and routine for people we support.
- Prompt independence while helping them live a fulfilling life.
- Support and encourage development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
- Assist with health‑care needs, including accompanying people to routine appointments and administering medication.
- Teach life skills such as budgeting, paying bills and shopping.
- Assist with personal care as required.
- Assist with domestic tasks including cleaning and cooking.
- Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience within the care sector is not required – we offer full training, coaching and development.
All applicants must be over 18 years of age.
