Job Description:

The Anthro joint venture between Egis and VVB Engineering will provide comprehensive turn‑key services for London’s state‑of‑the‑art HS2 gateway station at Old Oak Common. We have been awarded a multi‑year contract to deliver MEPHFC (Mechanical, Electrical Public Health, Fire and Communications) systems works.

The BIM Modeller plays a critical role within the Engineering Directorate, focusing on the production and coordination of high‑quality 3D CAD models with embedded data and ensuring their alignment with project standards and the BIM Execution Plan.

Based in London, you will work at the Design Office in Elephant & Castle and at Old Oak Common, West London, 3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the delivery and management of projects from technical design to construction stage to ensure compliance and delivery to project standards.
  • Implement best practice and consistent processes across the project, liaising with stakeholders and the supply chain to apply the correct standards.
  • Maintain quality processes and standards for all deliverables, including exchange information and conversion procedures.
  • Utilise Bentley ProjectWise with OpenBuilding Designer and MicroStation for detailed 3D CAD model creation and documentation, ensuring models are fully coordinated and using clash‑avoidance tools embedded within the digital twin.
  • Liaise with discipline BIM leads to optimise clash results using suppression rules based on modelling methods.
  • Support the production of high‑quality 3D CAD models and detailed construction drawings for specific elements of railway station projects, ensuring integration with overall project information models.
  • Produce model geometry and information in line with the Component Catalogue and the BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
  • Ensure all submitted models meet the project requirements and that systems for clash avoidance, internal model audits, and clash detection are in place before submission.
  • Collaborate with the BIM Coordinator, BIM Manager and wider project joint‑venture team to implement deliverables adhering to specified project standards and resolve issues.
  • Maintain the project’s ProjectWise Common Data Environment, ensuring accurate and timely information flow and adherence to data‑management standards.
  • Participate in quality assurance checks to ensure deliverables meet the project’s accuracy, detail and information requirements.
  • Monitor compliance with the BEP and supporting project standards, contributing to regular reports on BIM deliverable status.
  • Work closely with other disciplines to ensure the 3D CAD models are integrated and coordinated efficiently, attending regular coordination meetings as necessary.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project team members on BIM‑related issues.

Qualifications

  • Bentley iTwin Design Review
  • Bentley ProjectWise
  • Bentley OpenBuilding Designer
  • Bentley MicroStation
  • BIM Modeller with at least 3 years’ experience in major infrastructure or transportation projects
  • Experience working in an engineering production environment
  • Railway, transportation or construction background preferred
  • Experience delivering projects to UK BIM Standards, including BS1192 and ISO 19650
