Support Worker – Rowan House, Haywards Heath
Overview
In this role you will support five individuals with complex learning disabilities and other conditions such as epilepsy, bipolar disorder, and specific eating and drinking requirements. Two of the people supported are wheelchair users and all require assistance with personal care and activities of daily living. Your work will promote independence, dignity and choice.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily activities and personal care.
- Provide emotional support and build meaningful relationships.
- Encourage participation in community activities and maintaining social connections.
Qualifications
- A genuine passion for supporting others.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Positive and empathetic attitude toward people with learning disabilities.
Contract & Hours
- 24‑hour care service; days between 07:00‑22:00.
- Sleep‑in shifts available with an enhanced flat‑rate payment of £64.20.
- Rotas prepared at least four weeks in advance to allow personal and social planning.
